Pokey was found as a stray on the Onandaga Reservation. She is a Pit Bull/mix whose name is a perfect fit. She is in no hurry to get anywhere, ambles along placidly on the leash, and prefers cuddles to toys. She weighs 60 pounds, likes treats but politely said "no thanks" after she had had several. The folks in the Behavior Department feel she would do best as an only dog. Pokey and her new owner would find that training classes will be a great way for her to give her confidence a much needed boost. Bring all the family out, kids should be at least 14 as Pokey has no history of living with youngsters(at least as far as we know)Come meet this young dog, she needs you to help her find her way in life.
